Adrian Lane-Mullins was born in Sydney, Australia, the ninth child of a family of twelve children, seven boys and five girls. Being the sixth male in the family, the need to develop independence at a young age became a strong coping and survival technique within his dysfunctional family environment.Adrian has enjoyed a diverse career in senior management in a number of successful privately owned enterprises as well as ASX-listed and U.S. Fortune 500 companies. He has a Master's degree in Business Administration, a Master's Degree in Risk Management, a Diploma in Financial Services and insurance qualifications.

Synopsis

The Boy from Ashfield is the memoir of Adrian Lane-Mullins following his journey to maturity after a somewhat brutal start in life. Born into a devout Catholic family of twelve children and growing up in Sydney, Australia in the 1950s, Adrian soon discovers that religion is not a guarantor of peace and harmony. From a very early age he learns to fend for himself as the ‘Big Boys', his much older brothers, and borderline alcoholics, hold violent sway over the family once their father dies....
