Chances Are is a book of poems that has been written through the eyes of a young boy from Jamaica. It's the kind of poems that need to be read out loud, which would be more collective to the romantic minds and equally appreciative.Chances Are is for readers who have a keen interest in music and who can identify its fine line of rhyme and inner passion. It's also for those who live alone, and who find themselves under the weather from time to time and often lonely. They'll find peace and comfort in knowing how beautiful things really are.

VW's main subject as a poet was his own experience, based on his early youth growing up among the people and things that he loved.

In his early twenties he started to put words to paper, which came as a relief, I suppose one could argue it was a step to where he wanted to go.

His poetry allowed him to speak openly with deep and related passion.

Chances Are is a great bold collection from VW's debut Just a dream, not only from a writer's perspective but I respect where The Wizard is coming from personally as poet/writer myself. Plus the fact he chose to take the opportunity to be more anthemic chimes Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder and maybe a little Diana Ross on the side, for Black History in current times. As I know him as a budding poet and a wise friend, I hope he continues to succeed because I believe he has the right kind of intelligent rigor to carry it out.
