Chris Spence was born in Western Australia in 1961. Public school educated, he left at an early age to earn a living as an apprentice tradesperson. Following the successful completion of two trade certificates, Chris continued his education as an adult student. Chris currently resides in Sydney, Australia with his two adult children.
I really love this book. I give it a definite 5 stars because it is so interesting for children to read or to be read to. Its messages of learning about friendship, being different and respecting others enables children to think about these things and allows adults to have open discussions about such important life lessons whilst children enjoy such fantastic stories and looking at the amazing illustrations.
