This beautifully written collection of poems journeys around the world, from Asia, to Africa, to the islands around Crete, where they linger, soaking in the warm, contented culture the writer observed. Through these poems you can feel and breathe the traveller's journey, the heat, dust, and exploration they experienced. Interweaved with poems about love, life, and the fears and gains of growing older, these peaceful poems will transport you to another time and place.
The author originally studied Philosophy and Literature at university, but decided this led logically into the world of studio pottery. Later, he re-trained as a psychiatric nurse and a counsellor.
He and his wife retired ten years ago after their two children left home, and have spent time travelling and living in Crete, which has inspired him to start writing.
