Along with frequent visits to the sea, this eclectic collection of poems by Colin Newnham features animals (both real and imaginary), historical events and the odd self-portrait. The poems are illustrated with charming simplicity by the author himself.'You can find out about the Arty Guffles and meet a Drizard, there are some comments by Dolphins and even Rats in space. An All Amphibian Band and a Snail hitchhiking to France will make you smile, Polar Bears and Giraffes, Newts and Gannets can be found and a pecker knocker is a creature new to science and makes an interesting adornment to your front door.'From Colin Newnham's Introduction

My interest in writing and painting was dormant until I joined the Ashford Branch of Parkinson's UK who along with many other activities offered painting as a short course under the supervision of a tutor with experience
of those with special needs.
It seemed to me that I could do something for friends and family that would be original and amusing, being tone deaf and having no desire to write song lyrics let alone sing anywhere other than in the proverbial bath tub.
