Thank you to everyone who entered.
Congratulations to our four winners, Ruth Tugwell, Julie Brady, Paul Ellams, and Jenny Stuart. Who were asked to describe a discovery that they have made.
For those who didn't win, you can buy Legacy of the Sphinx HERE
Ruth Tugwell: When I was seven I drew a treasure map for my back-garden. I wrote how many paces I should walk, and plotted the treasure. I got started straight away. I dug, and underneath the earth I found a little crocodile ornament. I’m now twenty-three and I still have it!
Julie Brady: Whilst Clearing out a deceased Aunt’s attic I discovered an old family bible dating back to 1842. As I turned the pages I discovered a wealth of fascinating information about my family ascendants. Being a keen genealogist this find was worth more to me than winning the lottery.
Paul Ellams:
We did not have to travel far,
We discovered life without a car.
Older child busses to school,
Improving his confidence he’s no fool.
Younger child shares a ride,
Cycling when it’s sunny outside.
Me and the wife cycle each day,
Keeping fit and saving money way-hay!
Jenny Stuart: My house had previously been owned by an elderly couple, so when we moved in the garden was in a mess. While getting it into shape, I uncovered the wing of a WWII plane! The man who lived there before us had dumped it in the overgrown hedge!
Competition closed April 30th.
