Author Success: When We Were Very Rich by Isabel Donnollan
Elaine Crabtree, daughter of author Isabel Donnollan, has had a busy few weeks promoting ‘When We Were Very Rich’.
After Elaine’s mother Isabelle Donnollan passed away, she found a wealth of exercise books filled with jottings written by her mother and contained more insights from Isabel's early days and wrote in great detail about the Glenmore area, so she decided to type up the notes to give to her family. Her mother’s story is not only family history, but also a part of Rockhampton’s social life in the early 20th century.
From being featured on The Morning Bulletin having visited Glenmore State School, Australia to being interviewed on WIN News, Queensland, it’s been an exciting week for Elaine and her late mother’s book ‘When We Were Very Rich’.
