The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Bee book cover

Ig Oliver the author of ‘The Butterfly Bee Lady and the Bee’, visited BBC Radio Derby and spoke about his book with the host of the show, Sally Pepper. They talked at length about this beautiful story for children.

The subject of discussion was the daughter of the Butterfly Bee Lady.

She was once the great Queen of the dragonflies. Sindeena is her twin sister, who made use of some dark magic and changed her into a butterfly.

Now the butterfly is pursued by her evil sister because she still holds a great magical power that can change the fortunes and open a door into another world.

This new world has powerful creatures, which can help Sindeena in her schemes.

The mother and daughter must stay a step ahead of the minions that are after them to make sure that evil stays at bay.

Mr. Oliver is a chef and has catered for famous faces around the world, including the Queen and many others!

His imagination has always been active and he decided to create a magical world that enthralls and excites children.

Illustrations in the book paint a beautiful world for this fictional story.
