University of Sunderland Alumni Recognizes the Brilliance of Richard Abbott-Brailey

An article published on University of Sunderland Alumni website praised ‘Azarias Tor: The History Maker’ and its author for being “ahead of its time”.

The article makes the mention of Richard Abbott-Brailey’s fascination with time travel. The spark was first lighted by Dr. Who, the BBC TV series, and the characters time travelling exploits. It’s this fascination that led him to take on the phenomenon in his novel.

It became the central theme of the book as the protagonist, Azarias, travels through time and space as he hopes to change the future of the world for the better. In his quest, he travels to 1970s and look at the events of the past and travels to 2190s to see how the actions of the past have impacted the events in the future.

Along his journey he loses the love of his life but he does not falter and continues with his mission.

The author has woven characters, places and events into the story and explored the concept of time travel in a way that is comprehensible and though provoking at the same time.

He was born in London but has lived in many different places and is now living in Northumberland with his wife.
