Daryl trained in physics and mathematics and for much of his career was employed by CSIRO as a scientific editor, mostly in the role of Managing Editor of the Australian Journal of Physics, one of their former stable of international research journals. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a freelance technical editor and writer over a wide range of disciplines. He lives in Melbourne, Australia, and is married with two daughters.
