In April 2019, at the age of 67, Peter Phillips was diagnosed with the debilitating condition of Motor Neurone Disease. Having been a social worker for over 26 years, he knew how the condition affected those living with the disease. However, having been a person of faith all his adult life, Peter saw his condition as a ‘Gift from God’. So, finding himself confined to the home, he began to write poetry for the first time in his life.
The book you are now holding is the result of that ‘Gift’ and Peter’s life experiences as expressed through his poetry.
