Alison Rowell

In the mid to late 1960s Alison’s family lived on Lighthouse Islands amongst the Great Barrier Reef as her Dad was a Lighthouse Keeper. The Rainbow Island books are loosely based on Alison’s memories and Baby Turtles Everywhere is one of the stories based on actual events.

Alison splits her time between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, where she spends as much time as she can with her family, walking the coastline, swimming at the beach and walking on the white sands looking for driftwood and shells.
