On the first day back at school, Olly (15) is introduced to Elise, a girl who shares his obsessions with stories. Their first interaction is Elise sliding a note to him, introducing herself as if she’s telling a story. From that moment on, they build a friendship based on their love of stories and the powerful emotions they convey through them.

After finding his passion for creative writing and analysing movies at a young age, Daniel Green studied creative writing at the University of Greenwich, where he worked on finishing A Girl Named Elise. If Daniel isn’t writing, he can usually be found at the cinema. In addition to this publication his work has also appeared in the University of Greenwich Anthology 2018. A Girl Named Elise is his first full length novel.

As someone who got early access to this book, I can wholeheartedly tell you that this story will have you laughing, smiling, crying, and realizing how precious life is. It's not just a typical romance novel. It's underlying themes helps the reader learn how to cope with loss and how to move on with one's life once they have lost someone close to them. When your world feels like it has completely shut down, and you feel like you can't go on because someone close to you has passed, you can still have a fulfilling and happy life. This was a really good read with a sweet romance plotline that numerous readers are sure to enjoy.

I enjoyed the story. Dan captured the essence of friendship, love, loss, and renewal. As we go through life, we affect the lives of others in ways that we may never know. Keeping the “high road” and living with integrity and an openness to help others creates concentric wave of positive energy whose impact is far reaching. The story does not end, it continues on… GREAT WORK DAN!
