Karl Bradshaw-White was born in London in 1962, educated at Tylney Hall Boarding school in Hampshire. He has been an antiques and fine arts dealer and has worked in furniture restoration for 30 years. He is a self-taught artist exhibited at Beecroft art gallery in Southend, picking up a Beecroft award for work displayed.

He entered the world of miniature making in the late 1990's becoming one of the only artists in the world to specialise in Pietra Dura, a 17th century art working in marble and semi-precious stones, with work displayed in museums around the world. Karl is now semi-retired living with his partner of 35 years.
