When Paul awakes in another dimension, bereft of time and space, he is certain he has died, for his memory is intact and he can recall the moments leading up to his death – but he is unable to speak. When he is urged to “find his voice” by his spirit guide, Ulysses, he is met with a startling realization of his post-life fate, as Ulysses assists him in charting a new course.Set in the southern bayous of Louisiana and beneath the majestic skies of Mississippi, Love In, Air In explores the very essence of the human experience and the connections between souls throughout.

D.M. Williams is a black American woman who was born in Austin, Texas on August 15, 1984 to young parents. Her curious nature and introverted spirit encouraged her fascination with books and literature at an early age. She read her first novel, Robinson Crusoe, at the age of 7 which stirred within her a passion to write.

As an undergraduate student at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Williams studied English literature and education with ambitions of becoming an English teacher. In addition to writing, she wanted to teach. She knew that teaching would grant her the creative freedom and flexibility to engage students, expose them to a variety of literary works, inspire them, and write during fortunate vacations.

Teaching provided Williams a type of passion and understanding which allowed her to connect with her students and observe their critical developmental stages. As a high school and middle school English teacher, Williams assisted in the maturation and growth of students and educators alike – and enjoyed it immensely.

It was not until her maternal grandmother’s untimely death, however, that the urgency for her to complete her debut book manifested. Having promised her grandmother she would write, Williams thrust herself into the completion of Love In, Air In... with such tenacity and passion she felt the book would one day catapult her into the literary realms of her revered predecessors: Alice Walker, Zora N. Hurston, Toni Morrison, and Maya Angelou.
