A battle as old as time.

A gentle giant of a man, changed.

The living and the dead, allied.

Sarah, together with her husband, Tom, leads her newly formed paranormal investigation team, Haunted Hunters, to Dorchester, in Dorset. Local legend deems the place haunted but recent reports of activity are of a truly terrifying nature. What they find waiting for them is beyond anything they could have foreseen.

Caught in the middle of a supernatural battle that has raged through the ages, the team find themselves tested and doubting everything they thought they knew. As the forces of darkness threaten to rip apart the veil separating the living world from the dead, alliances will be formed and torn apart and the dead themselves will become allies. Will anyone survive? This time, not even the dead are safe.

Beware,

the Splitting Man is coming...

David Amey was born in Swindon and moved to Dorset as a child, where he still lives with his wife and four children.

Having always had a passion for all things horror, and a love for the paranormal, David decided to push the boundaries of what he considers a genre that is neglected and being left behind. He brings a new type of horror to his readers; one that pokes their imagination like a hornet’s nest and brings a real fear to the written word.

You will be pulled in by anything he writes, but beware, there is no escape from his dark mind.

Dark and gory. Twisted and unpredictable. A true battle for survival, Splitting Man flips the genre on its head and subverts all expectations. The villains push the boundaries of violence, brutality and disgust, setting up the perfect antagonists to square off against the heroes of the story. Every character has their own backstory and choices which impact where they stand in the grand finale, all of whom receive the ending they deserved, aside from maybe a few. From completely separate characters with no connections with one another to the closest allies in a war for the dead, everyone has a place and David Amey has seized every opportunity possible to make you care for these characters. You’ll be begging for him to spare your favourites but there’s no guarantee he’ll listen. An epic, page-turning and goose-bump filled journey, David Amey has turned Splitting Man into a memorable tale that I already want to read again and again.

David Amey has the ability to reach into the depths of your mind and revive all your fears, what lurks in the darkness and those bumps in the night!
A gripping read. I enjoyed this book and it was an easy read. It was different than a lot of the same old stuff that I've read before and I have to say that even as a die-hard horror fan, there was a scene within this book that made even me cringe! A great pace and a great story that keeps you drawn in. I had goosebumps, I could actually picture everything that was happening. What an imagination, I can't wait to read more.

For a debut novel, Splitting Man is nothing short of brilliance. If you are a fan of James Herbert, John Connolly, Susan Hill and Stephen King you need to add this to your must-read list. The characters and storyline are fantastic I am not going to give anything away, you need to read it for yourselves. Thank you Dave for creating Henry we all need a hero and Henry fits the bill, looking forward to the next instalment.
