Portia Stanton-Noble to Attend a Book Signing Event at Clare Library

Portia Stanton-Noble will be attending a promotional book signing event for The Big Dead Dry on Thursday, 24th June 2021. The event will start at 6.30 pm at Clare Library. At the event, the author will talk about her new book and will sign copies for the readers.   The Big Dead Dry is about a small country town in South Australia that becomes a breeding ground for murders and accidental deaths. The arrival of a mysterious man and his subsequent murder becomes the catalyst of chaos in the town. A senior detective gets in charge of the investigation who will go to any length to find the killer. When her Cousin Miserable comes to stay with them, the naughty jealous socks make a plot against him.   Michelle Caines was adopted at birth and raised in Stanwell, Middlesex. She wrote her first book at the tender age of 12, while also inventing cartoon characters in the primary school. Michelle illustrates all of her books herself. She has exhibited as a solo artist and also in the Mall Galleries in London along with her late father.

Natalie Newman and Henry Newman’s Book Reading and Signing Event

You can meet the authors and talk to them about their well-written book. Lark the Shark is a children’s book dealing with the topic of water pollution. The author Natalie Newman recalls one evening when Henry Newman, aged seven at the time, was given a school assignment to write about water pollution. As they were discussing it, the idea of making a story about a friendly shark came to her mind, and so Lark came into being. Natalie Newman is a former hairdresser and a mom of two boys. She has always loved reading and writing and is happy that her sons also love these things just like her.
