Hein Doeksen

Hein Doeksen worked as architect and lecturer in Netherlands and at Lincoln University, New Zealand, in the nineties. Besides his profession he climbed in the Alps, crossed Spitsbergen by feet, sailed Atlantic and North Sea Races and tramped along the coasts of Norway, Iceland, Ireland, the Shetlands and the Hebrides. These tours gave him the drive to tell fantasy stories for his children. Firstly, with his puppet shows and later on in books. Nowadays, back in Holland, he is retired but still writing.
