John Simmons is a writer with an international reputation. He’s the author of three novels – Leaves, Spanish Crossings, The Good Messenger – and poetry including the pamphlet Berliners shortlisted for the Live Canon award and published in 2024. He’s also a writer in the world of brands, whose seminal book We, Me, Them & It was recently republished in a 21st anniversary edition.
He’s co-founder of two influential writing organisations, Dark Angels and 26. Through them he runs writing workshops and creative projects. He’s also the curator of a podcast ‘Why words matter’, and an Honorary Fellow of Falmouth University (for services to the creative industries).
