Are you ready to put on a reminder for Saturday, 23rd October? Mark your calendars quickly. Charles Fournel, the author of 'Rise of the Maquis', will hold a book signing at the Halesworth Library. Get your chance to meet the author and get a signed copy of his book. The event will begin at 11 am and wrap up around 12.   Rise of the Maquis follows the story of a small group of resistance fighters who take up arms to defend their nation from the German tyrants. The group has no blood ties, but they are as close-knit together as a family. Follow this family of rag tags as they attempt to free the citizens of their country. You might see them in plain sight, but they are ready to take on their enemy from the heart of the fight. The question is will they prevail?   Charles Fournel is a devoted father of two boys living in England. He started his writing journey by writing short stories. After that, he advanced his writing career and expanded his writing to the World War II genre. He has great respect for those people who are willing to fight for their nation.
