The author of the acclaimed fantasy novel Through the Land of Illusion, Gunner E Garrett Jr. is going to attend his book signing event at Barnes and Noble on the Grossmont Centre Drive, La Mesa, California. The event is going to take place on the 25th of January this month from 1 – 3 PM in the afternoon. Through the Land of Illusion is a fantasy novel that is set in the magical land of Valgard. Four royal siblings were each given a magical stone by the Gods to assist in peacefully ruling their separate territories. Soon, one of them grows greed and lust for more power and turns against the others that throws the kingdom into turmoil. The daughter of the third youngest royal Cora, 15-year-old Anika is the heir to her throne and has no idea of her origins or her position in the royal family. She comes into the possession of her mother’s stone and becomes the target of strange men seeking the stone. To save the kingdom and her birth right, she must uncover who is trustworthy in her family so that there is peace once again in the kingdom. Gunnar E Garrett Jr. was born and raised in Modesto, California. He joined the US Air Force after high school and worked as the nuclear weapons specialist. Once honourably discharged from the military, he went to study mechanical design and spending time with his family. He grew his interest in writing after one of his daughters showed interest in doing screenplays. Since then, Gunnar has written many screenplays and has been nominated in more than 50 film festivals and global writing competitions.
