Miles, Milestones and Memories

Taking advantage of a double opportunity created by recent and momentous events; the Coronavirus pandemic and losing my job, echoed two other life-changing events stretching back some 23 years ago. This echo was a signal for me to repay a debt. This is the story of my emotional and physical journey of repayment and which took the form of tackling a blister-busting hike over 600 miles through fields, roads, suburbs, cities, and distinct landmarks of England, for charity – whilst navigating the rapidly escalating Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown challenges – and a few unplanned surprises on the way.

The Christos Grail

What would you do if you were personally offered a psycho-spiritual destiny?

The author claims this happened to her in 1994. The invitation came in the form of a channelled psychic message when she consulted a New Age healer about her husband’s ill health. She was asked if she would like to become a ‘teacher of teachers’. Interpreting this to mean a career move into a university or some other august institution of higher learning, the author replied, “Yes, I’d like that.” Little did she understand what she’d agreed to.

The Christos Grail is an autobiographical account of the adventure which followed her husband’s death. She received regular channelled psychic feedback and clues from her Guiding Angel and late husband through many different human mediums. Her search for answers led her to Sophia, the Grail Goddess and the energy source of the Christos. She concluded that Christ-consciousness is another way of describing divine self-awareness, which is available to all who genuinely seek it.

A lonely brown mouse finds a place to live and friends to share it with, but when disaster strikes, they all know just what to do.

All the characters in this story discover that being kind, sharing, caring and working together brings happiness.

Pandemic Stories

In that turmoil of the mind and the spirit, I felt that I could add another drop of water in the sea and make waves, by giving voice to those people who, seeing their past in perspective, had extraordinary experiences or emotions to share. 

My sketchbook became a journal and my laptop a window through which, confined in an artist studio in Madrid, I could reach the outer world. I interviewed and sketched people from many different countries through videoconference, and when travelling was permitted, I did it from life. Eventually, I wrote each of their stories and shared them.

In order to counterbalance the bombarding negativity of the media, I felt that art needed to reach out and create hope. I wanted to make people feel listened to, to share their stories and portraits on social media to inspire reflection, empathy and growth. Humanity had never been so united before, it was a time to re-think our values system, and art needed to take action.
