Graham Sheppard’s Book Featured in Cambridge Independent

Graham Sheppard, the author of the book, Potential, got himself and his book featured in Cambridge Independent on 3rd March 2020. The website mentions Graham’s statement “I started it over 20 years ago and at that time I was working for an insurance company in Surrey and would spend my lunch breaks in writing in a local cafe”.

 

The book, Potential is a story based on David Lucas who is a single parent of an 11-year-old boy. He goes on his regular morning run and accidentally meets Charlie Greaves, an ex-Olympic runner and coach who offered him to be a part of 2012 Olympic team. Graham currently lives in Cambridgeshire with his second wife. Graham spent most of his life in Barnes, where his parents ran a tobacconist and confectionery shop. Running was an early attraction when winning the half-mile at his secondary school running was always his passion but his sporting interests switched in his teens to rowing. Currently, his sporting activities include table tennis.
