Philip Anslow
Phil Anslow is an adventurer. He has worked as a park ranger in New Zealand, a long-distance telephone operator in Hawaii, and a mountain guide, mostly in Nepal but also in other countries around the world. He is also an accomplished macro-photographer, specializing in dragonflies and damselflies. This gave him the chance to study the interactions between the different damselflies and dragonflies in their native habitats and understand how life around the pond functions. He has written articles on Odonata for various publications but prefers to write children’s adventure stories. For the last three years, he has traveled extensively in Asia, collecting stories and tales for his next five books in the Jack and Priscilla series. He also runs workshops for children in Dorset, explaining why we need insects and why we couldn’t live without them.
