She trained as a primary school teacher in Newcastle upon Tyne and has taught in South Ockendon, Essex, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, Enfield, Middlesex and an elementary school in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. She is a qualified mentor and has a degree in Psychology.
