Francesca Bantock
There was no end to the imaginative talents of Francesca Bantock — poet, artist, author, and satirist — who hailed from five generations of painters. She was the granddaughter of Sir Granville Bantock, the renowned British composer, and the mother of Bjorn Sebastian Bantock, the orchestral conductor.
Her mind knew no bounds; her style and ideas were wonderfully unusual. While your children will be entertained by her stories, you too will find yourself amused and intrigued.
Sadly, Francesca passed away in early January 2023, but her creative spirit lives on through her works. Keep an eye out for her other titles: Witches Who Smoke; Munching Mag, who is cured of her greed by the Tylwyth Teg; Doctors Who Made Mistakes; a tale told by a sausage dog who narrates a biting social commentary; and A Mouse Who Goes to Live with a Loving Indian Family — among others.
