Dr Anita Campbell
Dr Anita Campbell was born in New Zealand and moved to Western Australia at age seven. She dreamed of being a doctor. She took the long road though, and, at the age of thirty-three, completed her medical studies in Western Australia.
She has worked in urban, rural, and remote locations, achieving her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners six years after graduating from medical school. Passionate about medicine, she has focused on mental health, drug and alcohol-related conditions, and the use of medicinal cannabis for specific chronic conditions.
Following her battle with illness, her commitment to “trauma-informed and equitable healthcare” remains unwavering. As a result of her journey, she now prioritizes health promotion and healing, a testament to her dedication to her patients.
