Rebecca Camu
Rebecca Camu has been writing stories since she could pick up a pen. Always passionate about her stories, she revisits her work a lot, correcting, polishing, and dusting up. Rebecca has also spent the last twenty-five years as a senior accredited counsellor working privately and for the NHS in her beloved Suffolk.
None of the stories in this collection are clients’ stories. She does talk, however, of the immense privilege she has felt in having this unusual access to the working of the human heart. She feels writing and counselling both draw on the necessity common to both ‘to be inside another’s skin’ and that this intuitive ability lies behind some of the large competitive success she has enjoyed with her stories. She has also enjoyed publication, her most recent being another collection of short stories, Beau’s Collection, published by Derek Taylor in 2020.
