Jeremy Cooper

Jeremy Cooper is a retired judge who was educated at Cambridge and the European University in Florence. A fluent French speaker he has pursued a lifelong interest in history, law and the arts. His legal career as a barrister, a law professor, consultant, judge and judicial trainer has enabled him to travel widely and to develop his enduring interest in comparative legal systems and cultures. He is the author of a number of legal texts and has edited several books including Being a Judge in the Modern World (Oxford University Press). He lives in East Sussex with his wife where he is an active member of the local community.
