Pelumi Folajimi

Pelumi Folajimi pursues a career as a Lecturer at the Department of Dramatic Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He had lived and studied at Abeokuta, a city whose rituals, oral traditions, and culture of literacy, along with the city’s early exposure to Western education, have influenced his worldviews and political ideology. Invested in philosophy and human rights activism, Folajimi has studied enormously in the fields of English Studies and Literature, Theatre Studies and Dramatic Arts, African Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature and Philosophy. Folajimi’s poetry is rooted in history, politics, and African rituals. His creative writings are compelled by political activism, African cultural epistemology, global Black radical activism, and Pan-African Philosophy.
