Kim Gordon-Bates
After an upbringing in France that saw him caught up in the May 1968 movement at the tender age of fifteen, 2x “KGB”—as he is known to friends and foes alike—studied zoology at Leeds University. KGB then worked as a foreign correspondent for Le Monde and later for the Journal de Genève, and so found himself flung into some very strange places. He then joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and was flung into even stranger places. During the course of being tossed around the globe by various employers, KGB came to meet, and sometimes appreciate, some very odd characters. He also experienced some interesting situations. All that was most formative.
