Born in 1945 and brought up in Edinburgh Kenneth Hutton subsequently lived and worked in various locations around the UK before settling in Sheffield in 1982. He has a BSc (Hon) in Psychology from the Open University and an MSc in Mental Health Social Work from the University of Leeds. Retyring after a long career in social services he began writing short stories for his grandchildren before joining a local writer’s group W.I.S.E. – Writers in Stannington and Ecclesfield, where he found support, companionship and inspiration to write short stories and poetry for both children and adults.
