Kamal Mirawdeli
Kamal Mirawdeli is a Kurdish poet, philosopher and writer whose work explores the intersections of language, existence and identity. He studied at Baghdad University, the University of Essex and the London School of Economics, earning advanced degrees in philosophy, literature and political economy.
Mirawdeli is the author of multiple works in philosophy, linguistics, literary criticism and poetry in both Kurdish and English. His major contributions in English include The Archaeology of History, Ibn Khaldun’s Philosophy of History, Love and Existence, History of the Present, Kurdish Odyssey, Poesophical Vision and Works and Unlocking Existence in a Grain of Salt. He has authored several philosophical books and texts in Kurdish for the Kurdistan region universities.
