Laura-Elena Mireanu graduated in English Literature and History from Durham University in 2022, before beginning her career as a Secondary English Teacher. Following the publications of a handful of historical journals, Laura decided to focus her attention on more creative mediums of expression. Her dissertation, focusing on interpreting 20th-century American minimalistic poetry using Heidegger’s phenomenological existentialism, inspired her poetry. Whilst experimenting with the limits of language, she wished to present the many states of existence to reflect the fundamental experience of being alive.
