Jean D Northeast
Since learning to read at the age of three, Jean Northeast has been an avid life-time bookworm, so it is no surprise that she has ended up as a writer. The fact that she has left it so long may well be due to raising four children, helping her husband manage his boatbuilding business, working as a lifeguard at the local swimming pool, and running the village post-office.
Born in North London in the middle of a doodle-bug raid at the end of the Second
World War, Jean was never destined for a peaceful existence, but her life has
provided so much experience with which to endow her stories. They are sometimes shocking, often darkly humorous, and always entertaining. So sit back and enjoy the magic carpet ride back to the nineteen-forties!
