A baby boomer (children conceived with optimism after World War Two), Steve Packer was born in the English Midlands, grew up on the Channel Coast and has admitted to being an enthusiastic child of the ’60s, which sparked an enduring interest in all forms of human expression and experience. After careers in both the private and public sectors, his current home is deep in the Cambrian Mountains of Wales, where he gardens, paints and writes songs which he attempts to play on a varied collection of acoustic and electric guitars.
