Phillip Ashby was born in Northampton and grew up in the town of Wellingborough. He finally moved to Wisbech when he got married. He and his wife have four children. He began to write children’s stories over 30 years ago when he became ill with ME. He is still battling with this condition and has only recently begun to write again, continuing where he left off.
