Isobel Sangster
Isobel was born in the Southeast of England in 1979. From a young age she showed a passionate interest in writing, in particular poetry, having had one or two of her poems published in anthologies during the 1990s. After completing a BA Hons Degree in English and Creative Studies at Portsmouth University in 2001, Isobel put aside her pen for a few years in order to go travelling with her then partner and now husband, Richard. During their travels, Isobel and Richard found themselves encompassed in a wonderful, diverse, creative and magical community nestled in the rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The couple spent the subsequent years travelling between their newfound community and family in the UK and United States. During these years Isobel occasionally picked up her pen to write poems for family and friends. Wanderings of a Wild Child is Isobel’s first book to be published, and the first part of an adventurous trilogy loosely based on the author’s own experiences and misadventures but set in a wildly fictional and fantastical landscape.
