Elle Sebeth
The author is a primary trained teacher with over 25 years’ extensive experience in mainstream and special school settings. Having spent over six years in a mainstream Reception/Year 1 class she developed significant knowledge and understanding of phonics. She was recruited by a special school to address the identified needs of children who had failed to acquire the basics that enable reading and writing to develop. Over five years she developed a programme to support learners, regardless of age, to begin to access reading and writing; develop rudimentary skills and move increasingly to becoming literate. This book is the result of this process.
