Barbara Susan Eyre spent her childhood in a country village in Surrey where, from a very early age, she enjoyed gardening and took an interest in nature and her surroundings. She was a keen Brownie and Guide. She later ran a Brownie Pack for twenty-two years, developing an affinity with young children.
Barbara worked in England as a gardener before retiring to Éire in 2014 where she lives with her partner, Brian, still spending many hours in the garden when the weather allows.
