She has long been fascinated by stories of diverse relationships and fantasy settings and has a number of novels and stories examining these themes published over the years. However, this is her first foray into exploring the lives and loves of the elves in the world of Sylvan, and how they interact with the newly discovered humans.

She is currently working on the sequel to Tales from Mill Pond.
