D. V. Whiteland
D. V. Whiteland was born in May 1936 at Lambeth Hospital, Lambeth, London. He was evacuated per Churchill’s orders. He returned to a “Church Army” address in North London.
Then followed a secondary modern education and two years national service in the army. He then got married, had two “nippers”, enjoyed thirty happy years, then was “dumped”! This was the most emotive time of his long life.
Though unintentionally, aspects of his life shine through the content of A Mishmash of Observations and Emotional Verse.
