The Shoppa Squad began as a spark of curiosity. William’s grandchildren were captivated by the autonomous delivery robots gliding through their local town. They loved spotting them, using them to order food, and imagining the secret routes and tiny adventures these robots must take to reach every doorstep. Their excitement planted the seed for something bigger.
William saw an opportunity to turn that fascination into fun, colourful stories that feel warm, imaginative, and rooted in real life. He began developing a cast of friendly, character driven robots who could help children understand and embrace a future where autonomous technology becomes part of everyday community life. That idea grew into the world’s first series of children’s illustrated books about autonomous delivery robots.
Each book in the series is designed to build a lasting affinity with these machines, not as cold technology, but as helpful, curious and community minded companions. Through the Shoppa Squad’s adventures, William hopes to inspire children to explore, imagine and feel confident about the world that awaits them.
