Robert Wain Woodward
Robert Wain Woodward retired from architecture at 82 when he realised he had become a dinosaur in a changing world and so, instead, began assembling his lifetime’s collection of writings. Having travelled to over 50 countries, his fascination with people, their cultures, and religions grew enormously. But he cannot abide superstition, humbug and cant which blind people’s thinking. He is aware that being forthright in his writings may not be liked by some people and apologises for any offence unintentionally caused. His passion for walking, hill-climbing, and especially mountains has become seriously sabotaged by old age, which he finds cruelly irksome.
