Ann Yates was born in Dorset in the post-war years and has lived in Hampshire, Jersey and Essex. She has now made Norfolk her home. She separated from her husband when her two children were young. As a single parent, she worked a variety of jobs, ranging from night care work to grooming at a local riding school to driving a mushroom delivery truck. She now enjoys walking in the beautiful Norfolk countryside with her partner and spending time with her two wonderful grandchildren.
