Instead of getting some ice cream and wine to spend the night alone, Jeaunette Cameron manages to spill her treats on one Tomas West, only the hottest British star in Hollywood. It should have been a chance meeting, a fluke of crossed paths, but as Tomas must see her again, the two begin a heated and passionate relationship. Since he is busy with filming, Tomas spends his free time with Jeaunette, affectionately known as his Muppet, often in between her sheets at night.Confused and bewildered with the intense attraction she feels and receives from a major celebrity, Jeaunette learns to go with the flow of a most unconventional relationship, usually with the advice and warnings from her friends Ruby and Mark. Tomas and Jeaunette share a turbulent love, one tested by exes, deceitful friends and foes, mistrust, and lack of communication. After fights, make-ups, compromises and challenges, they stick through it all, but can their hearts stay true to each other forever after the ultimate test of infidelity and violence?
Philippa Dobbs lives in Dunedin, New Zealand with her husband, young daughter and a dog called Mack. She has always had a passion for reading and decided to try and write her own book while she was in between jobs.

Your novel is not normally the kind of thing that I read but I have to admit that it had me hooked from page 1 through to the end of the story.

The characters and situations are all very believable and well written and I felt that I could almost see, taste and smell every scene in your book, it was a treat from beginning to end, a delight to read.

Well done and I look forward to your next effort.

I really enjoyed reading this book, Philippa has written a brilliant debut novel she has proven to have a real writing flair, her two main characters are very endearing you are cheering for them throughout the book that they will make it together. Philippa has done a great job in writing a story that is funny and witty I found some of the dialogue from Jeaunette hilarious, she was definately a character I related to and Philippa has done a great job in making her very realistic and likable. I loved the story and the will they won't they make it and all the obstacles that get in their way, it certainly made for a book you didn't want to put down you were dying to know what would happen with Tomas & Jeaunette. It is a well written, funny, smart and honest account of the rocky road of romance and relationships. If you like chick lit and good old romance novels with a bit of oomph then you should read 'A Simple Love Story' I truly recommend it after all don't all us girls want ourselves a Tomas with a glass of Chardonnay on the side!.

Loved this book! I'm a big fan of Sylvia Day, so A Simple Love Story was right up my alley. Getting hooked into the tumultuous and passionate relationship of Tomas and Jeaunette was too easy, and finishing the book had me wanting more. Philippa has done an amazing job with her debut novel, and I hope she continues wo write as it was such a pleasure to dive into the world of her characters.
