An Extract of My Childhood

This is a very readable personal story. The author is really sharing her life with us and in particular, the interesting period of the 1950s. This, with the added exoticism of South America, makes for an exciting mix. It is a warm book and a story of optimism. It leaves the reader better than before opening it.

Mary C Ibbotson was born in Coventry, UK. Throughout her childhood, she lived in various locations within the UK and has lived in Brazil as well. She admits to having no discernible accent, as her continual moving has resulted in a mixture of the places she has lived in.
