We’re introduced to Elisa, a woman who loves her narco-involved husband. Gustavo, a street child who’s never known anything more than running, reveals what one Mexican life is reduced to. Maya travels to Mexico to teach ESL, only to find herself embroiled in the political landscape of narcotrafficante activities.

Rachel Sutton, the daughter of European immigrants, was born in a small town in Alberta, Canada, and grew up in Vancouver, BC. She studied at the University of Victoria, BC, and later became a multi-disciplinary student for many years.

Rachel initiated her studies majoring in English and Literature. She moved into Education and Child and Youth Care, where she later spent many years as a teacher and a social worker in more remote communities of BC, Canada.

She is known locally and through small pockets along the coast of Mexico as a healer, Yoga teacher and writer of science-based articles and recipes to promote human health. She is also known in some local circles as a social/political comic on air in broadcast journalism.

This is Rachel’s first novel.
