Book Description

James’s story unfolds through key moments in his childhood and adolescence, revealing the impact of strained family relationships on his journey. Along the way, he encounters a range of vivid characters, including Dorcas, Denis, Giulia, and Dolly, each influencing his path in different ways.

By the time he reaches his 30s, James is still burdened by guilt and inner turmoil. As he faces significant external challenges, he must navigate a world undergoing great social change.

Was he simply born this way, or could he have been the victim of an early trauma that no one cared to explain?

Susan Delle Cave lives in South-West London and her first novel was published about four years ago. She writes about the human condition and aims to encourage readers to reflect more deeply about the world we live in.

Before becoming a writer, she taught English and Modern Languages in a range of secondary schools.

Her interests include archaeology, the theatre and all types of music.
