Being Me tells the heartfelt story of one child finding the courage to align their outward appearance with their inner gender identity. This inclusive book provides all children space to feel comfortable in their own skin, seen for who they are.

Told from a young narrator’s perspective, this compassionate tale gives voice to an experience now at the forefront of headlines and policy debates. Being Me brings understanding around transgender and nonbinary identities, addressing the unique challenges these children face amidst the swirling conversations.

While introducing new concepts and identities which may seem unfamiliar to some, ultimately Being Me champions the universality of every child deserving equality, acceptance and the freedom to chart their own course surrounded by loving support. By turning compassion into action, we can build a more inclusive world for children of all gender expressions.

I found this book such a good read. At times I felt very sad for the author. A fascinating life is full of incidences, some sad and some happy.
